The actual Logo of Hondais the writing "Honda".
Below it, it usually also says "The Power of Dreams".

Besides the main Honda logo, there are a few sub-logos for Honda's different branches.

Honda's best-known logo is probably the one for the automobile branch. It looks like this: There's an "H" in a rounded quad as the logo. At the top, both the H and the quad are broader than at the bottom. Below this picture mark, there's also the writing "HONDA", which is adopted from the main logo.

Another popular one is the motorcycle branch logo. Again, the Honda-writing was adopted, but in this logo, a stylized wing was added. It is visible in the bottom of the page.

There are also separate logos for the branches of outboard-motors and motors in general. As with the previous logos, the main text was also used here, and the words "Marine" and "Engines" were added.

The Honda logo was first used in 1963 on the then newly-presented Mini-Transporter T360.

Since then, there have been minor modifications to the logo, but in most cases just the line width of the "H" was adjusted. Since 1966, there's a separate logo for the European countries: The "H" is a little bigger than in Japan.

Honda was founded on September 24 1948 by Soichiro Honda, who gave the company its name.

In the beginning, Honda produced motors for bicycles, but in the mean time, Honda has become the world's biggest motor producer.
