
Font classification: Group 10
Brief summary of characteristics:
There's Gothic, Rotunda, Fraktur, Schwabacher, ... look like they're written with a pen, curves and anglular lines are "broken" (lines aren't necessarily connected).
Group 10: Gothic scripts:
These scripts are also caled Fraktur-scripts or Blackletters and trace back to the Gothic script. There was a kind of renaissance in the so-called "German Scripts", e.g. Schwabacher.
For a more well-defined classification, these fonts were sub-divided into 5 sub-groups:
