Group 6: Sans Serif

(also: Sans, Sans-Surryphs, or Lineale fonts):

This group of fonts also developed from the decoration forms of the mid-19th century. It is said to be the most abstract form of our letter-alphabet.

The font weight of Sans Serif fonts is usually optically alike. There are no serifs.

There are font families with more than 20 style sets - this shows the changeableness of Sans Serif. There are multifaceted possible applications for this group.
