Time and again, problems arise in the process of data transmission to print shops, agencies etc., because data is forwarded in the wrong format, because there are exposure problems, or just because things are forgotten.

These problems don't arise as easily with a PS file (PostScript file). In the creation of a PostScript file, all necessary information, files, fonts, ... of your document are integrated into the PS.

Some error sources, such as missing fonts, different breaks, missing images etc. can be ruled out this way. However, PS files also have a disadvantage: These files cannot be modified.

If a print shop needs to make a correction, it is not possible. The file can only be sent to the printer or the printing plate (computer to plate).

You should also make sure you have made the correct settings for screen ruling, the proper format, colour separation etc. before you create the PS file.
