The EPS format (Encapsulated PostScript) is commonly used in pre-press stages. This format can contain both vector information and pixel image information.

In EPS, data is saved in the page description language PostScript (see next page). EPS also allows for the embedding of fonts.

This format is always limited to just one page!

EPS-files can be created with any established graphics software, like Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress or Adobe Acrobat Professional.

EPS is well-suited for logo design: It can contain vector information, and fonts are embedded.
