Brief summary of characteristics:

Axis upright, strong contrast between stem and hairline, serifs are not rounded and joined vertically.

Group4: Didone:

The Didone group formed in France in the late 18th century (Didot). These fonts have a calm and static, technically exact impression.

The line weights of hairline and stem are strongly differentiated. Beaks and ears are the shape of horizontal hairlines. Serifs have no or hardly any gorging and consist of harilines that are joined to the stem of the character.

Italic and straight type styles have the same character spacing.
