Besides a logo, many products also have a cachet printed on them. They were invented by technical inspection agencies or government agencies - but why? The basic idea is to make the decision on certain products easier for the customers.

Cachets can be used to confirm a product's purity, certain ecologic aspects or safety requirements.

The cachet can be obtained by having the product checked by a Technical Inspection Agency or other cognizant authorities. If the survey turns out positive, the cachet can be used to advertise the product.
