The graphical form of Brainstorming

Mind Mapping (R) is the graphical form of Brainstorming. Every idea regarding a specific topic is structured on a sheet of paper using branches.

This method of idea creation is often used for marketing campaigns.

Place the topic for which you're collecting ideas in the center of the page. Now try to find ideas, and place them around the central topic using so-called "main branches" - every idea is connected to the topic using a branch.

If any modifications to these ideas come to your mind, draw further branchings from the main branches. This way, smaller branches originate from the existing main branches.

In most cases, the resulting Mind Map can be improved by reorganizing and re-sorting. Usually, it takes several attempts until items and sub-items are re-sorted and sometimes relocated in the ideal way, thus enhancing the Mind Map. That is because in the beginning, you don't know how and where your Map is going to develop.
