Combined word- and figurative marks

A combination of word- and figurative marks is what us humans usually comprehend the fastest. In most cases, the recollection of these logos is better as well.

Instead of wordmarks, character- and letter marks may used in combination with a figurative mark as well. Less frequently, character- and wordmarks are combined.

When arranging the picture part and the word part, there are different principles which cause different impressions in the viewer. I will put these principles online and specify them at a later time.

In general, the picture part can be placed behind, in front of, over, under the word part. It may or may not be outlined with a contour. Often, the decision depends on the elements used. You can't really go wrong regarding the impression - but you might be able to make it even better if you know these principles.

However, it always depends on the elements, so you can't always follow these principles when combining different types. Naturally, you also have to pay attention to aesthetics.
